New arrangement for Darshan in Sawan month
The month of Sawan will start from July 22 and will last until August 19. New guidelines for darshan, puja and security have been issued for devotees visiting Varanasi. All types of daily passes will be canceled on every Monday of Shava. No locker facility will be provided inside the temple on this day, all the luggage will have to be deposited in the locker outside the temple.
Protocol darshan and pooja will be arranged for VIP devotees at scheduled times. From Godaulia to Maidagin, Sawan will remain a no vehicle zone from Sunday midnight till further orders. The new guidelines were explained in a seminar held at the Pinak Bhavan of Srikashi Vishwanath Temple. A meeting of officials of Varanasi Police Commissionerate was held here today regarding the security of the temple, darshan-pooja of devotees and traffic rules. In this meeting, a guideline has been issued under the instructions of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Security and Information, Suryakant Tripathi.
These rules are applied for Darshan and Pooja at Srikashi Vishwanath Temple.
• Strong barricading and zig-zag arrangements have been made for the devotees to have easy darshan and worship. • Sufficient drinking water and shade will be provided for the devotees. • On every Monday of Sawan, devotees are requested not to visit with bags, mobile phones, mobile accessories and other prohibited items. • Carrying anything other than pooja materials like beads, flowers, prasad, Ganga water and milk will be strictly prohibited on every Monday. • No locker facility will be available in the campus on Monday. • Adequate sign boards will be installed at entry and exit routes for the convenience of devotees. • No vehicle zone will be created from Maidagin to Godaulia Charrasta from 12.00 pm on Sunday night till further orders. • Emergency treatment, lost and found center, police assistance center and adequate number of loud hailers and loudspeakers will be arranged in the temple premises for devotees. • Daily passes to the temple will be canceled on Monday. • Sparsh darshan will be completely banned on Monday. On Monday, protocol darshan-pooja will be arranged for VIP devotees at scheduled time.
