These 426 Trees Bear Witness To The Growth Of Patna, The 200-year-old Moulsari Witnessed The War Of Independence.

Recently a survey was conducted by the Patna Municipal Corporation for the city’s heritage trees. This has come up with interesting data. There are 426 such trees in the city, whose age is more than 50 years. While there are 16 such trees whose age is between 80 years and 100 years.

A survey by the Patna Municipal Corporation revealed that Patna city has 21 trees that are 100 years old or more. The survey revealed that there are 29 such trees in the city, whose age is more than 100 years. The special thing is that there are 426 such trees, whose age is estimated to be more than 50 years. Bankipur area has maximum 120 trees.

Maulsari is considered a medicinal tree. It is used in Ayurveda. Its leaves are glossy and the structure of the tree is very beautiful. It is found in almost every part of the country. The height of this tree is thirty to forty feet. Its flowers are small and star-shaped. The flowers are yellow and white in color and have a pleasant fragrance. The most important thing is that this tree is not affected by autumn. It is also known as Bakul, Maulsiri, Mukur, Sinhkesar. Its fruits are edible and also used in traditional medicine.
