ORLANDO — Kickoff for UCF’s nationally televised Big 12 home opener against Colorado has been delayed due to lightning.
According to the university’s fan experience social media account, the game will begin no sooner than 4:05 p.m. It was originally scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
Pregame warmups will resume following a 30-minute period when there is no lightning in the area.
After a sunny morning, the afternoon has already featured one rain shower.
2:50pm ⛈️ update: Lightning still in the area. Pregame will resume following a 30-minute period when there is no lightning within 8 miles of the stadium and both teams have been provided an opportunity to warm-up.
