4 MGNREGA workers killed due to wall collapse in Etawah.

A wall collapsed on laborers working under MGNREGA in Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah district on Thursday. Five laborers were buried in this accident. Three laborers were crushed to death on the spot, while one laborer died while being taken to Saifai Medical College. A total of four laborers died in this accident. The condition of one laborer is critical. On receiving information about the accident, the police reached the spot and carried out relief work and pulled out the laborers buried under the debris of the wall.

On Thursday, MNREGA workers were engaged in the construction work of drains in Mehndipur village of Bakewar police station area of ​​Etawah. A wall standing near the drain suddenly collapsed and fell on the workers. In which five laborers were buried. By the time they were pulled out, three laborers were crushed to death on the spot. A laborer died while taking Saifai to medical. At the same time, a laborer is seriously injured. He is being treated at the district hospital.

After receiving information about the accident, CO Rural Satyapal Singh reached to inquire about the condition of the injured. The villagers present at the spot did not allow the dead bodies of the laborers to be picked up. The villagers called the DM-SSP to the spot and demanded compensation. After four hours of effort, the four bodies were sent for post-mortem. Samajwadi Party Bharathana MLA Raghavendra Dohare has announced to give 1 lakh rupees to the family of the deceased and 50 thousand rupees to the injured from his fund.
