These days preparations are being made vigorously for Kanwar Yatra across Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, most of the attention of the administration is on Muzaffarnagar. Here the police and administration have made security arrangements at every corner. Security has been beefed up following the furor over the owner’s name being written outside the shop by the state government. According to officials, the city will be monitored by drones during Kanwar Yatra. Police has set up a control room at the entry point itself.
According to the officials, a total of 5 zones and 9 sub-zones have been created on the route of Kanwaria across Muzaffarnagar. SP and DSP level officers will be posted in this zone. Apart from the police, this time the electricity department has also made complete preparations. The electric pylons installed down on the Kavdi route will be covered with plastic. So that there is no scope for any kind of accident.
Confusion about writing names on shops
In UP, the government has taken a big decision regarding Kanwar Yatra and has issued strict instructions to the shopkeepers coming along the route of Kanwar Yatra. According to the notification, all shopkeepers will have to write their names outside their shops. Already the opposition parties were protesting the administrative orders. Now after this order has come, the entire state is in a commotion. Social media has also been manipulated on this issue. Some users are justifying it while some are calling it completely wrong. Politics has also heated up after this order.
Opposition said attack on the government
After the state government’s order, everyone from BSP supremo Mayawati to AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has attacked the administration and the government in this matter. Former Moradabad MP and SP leader Dr. S.T. Hasan has strongly opposed the state government’s order to install name plates on Kanwar Marg. He said it is wrong for the UP police to give this message to the dhaba owners as it simply means boycotting Muslims and going to Hindu shops.
CM Yogi’s order
While issuing the order, CM Yogi Adityanath has said that this decision has been taken to preserve the faith and sanctity of the Kanwar pilgrims. In such a situation, it will be necessary to write the name of the owner and manager on the food and drink shops located on Kanwar Marga. This order has been sent to all district administrative officers, after which strict action is being taken in this matter across the state.
