A CBI team has arrested a thug from Mumbai, who was cheating American citizens while sitting here. On the input of the American intelligence agency FBI, the CBI has taken this action in the case of fraud of about 4.5 lakh dollars from an American citizen two years ago. The accused has been identified as Vishnu Rathi. The FBI has been tracking the fraudster ever since. After getting the correct location and input, FBI shared it with CBI in India and now based on the same input, CBI has arrested the accused.
During the CBI interrogation, the fraudster has revealed many other similar incidents. The accused said that he has been committing fraud in this way for about five years. The accused told the CBI that in June 2022, he hacked the computer of an American citizen with remote access. After this, under the guise of technical assistance, the accused transferred about 4 lakh 55 thousand dollars from the American citizen to his cryptocurrency wallet.

The victim filed a complaint with the American police. Since the case is international, the police there transferred the case to the FBI. When the FBI investigated the case, it was found that the accused committed the crime while sitting in Mumbai and even now he is operating from Mumbai. After this, the FBI gave inputs to the CBI about the fraudster. Meanwhile, CBI has arrested the accused while investigating the case.

According to CBI sources, this is not the only case committed by the accused. Apart from this, the accused has committed a dozen crimes. At the behest of the accused, the CBI has recovered 57 gold bars of 100 grams, Rs 16 lakh in cash, mobile phone, laptop used for cryptocurrency, locker details and other documents from him.
