Uttarakhand: Fear Of Tigers! Mandatory For Administration To Close Anganwadi-schools; DM Has Issued This Order

Schools closed in Uttarakhand due to tiger attack

Recently, a tiger attacked a student in Uttarakhand. The attack on the student took place near the school premises. At the same time, many areas are witnessing tiger activity these days. Meanwhile, in this regard, the district magistrate of Paudi Garhwal district has declared holiday in more than half a dozen schools for the next two days.

District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan has taken this big decision considering the activities of tigers in Jakhanidhar taluka of Paudi Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. He has ordered closure of nine schools and all Anganwadi centers in Jakhanidhar tehsil and Dwarikhal area on September 23 and 24. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of school going students.

A student was injured in the tiger attack.

Paudi Garhwal District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan issued an order in this matter on Sunday. The decision is said to have been taken on the request made by the Sub Collector of Jakhanidhar and the Block Education Officer of Dwarikhal keeping in mind the safety of the students.

Seeing the movement of tigers in the areas, both the officers wrote a letter to the District Magistrate and informed about it. In which he mentioned a tiger attack on a student in Thangar village of Dwarikhal area at 7 am on Saturday. In which the student was injured. Also information was given about tiger activity near Patangan of Government Primary School, Thanagar.

At the same time, on the instructions of the Sub-District Magistrate of Dwarikhal and the Block Education Officer, the District Magistrate has issued this order. Ashish Chauhan has said in his order that considering the safety of school going students, 9 schools of Dwarikhal area and all Anganwadi Centers will be holiday on 23rd and 24th September.
