Now Batuk will learn self defense skills

Vedic discourses and chants echo in the monasteries of Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi, where students of the Vedas are seen meditating on the scriptures wearing dhotis and sacred threads, but these days a new picture emerges here where students of the Vedas, called batuks. These days, along with the scriptures, he is learning self-defense tactics. He is being trained regularly in Karate and Taekwondo. It begins in the religious city of Kashi where students of the Batuk Veda are being trained in self-defense.

The tradition of Varanasi Sanatan culture is still seen today in monasteries where Hindu children are imparted knowledge of Vedas and Sanskrit. They are equipped with mantras who later became narrators, worshippers, priests, chaplains, priests, but the Kailash Puri Math in Varanasi saw a glimpse of a new tradition with scriptures. Dressed in dhoti and sacred thread, these students first meditate, awaken themselves by chanting and then learn self-defense skills such as karate and taekwondo.

They are being trained every day. These children wake up at 4.30 am and study Vedas first. After that they are made to practice from 8 am to 9.30 am. For this, national level coaches have also been appointed for them, who are coming and training them every day. A practice that can defeat an opponent if ever needed.

Start from Kailash Puri Math

It was started in the Kailash Puri Math. In the future this training will be given in more and more monasteries. Ved Batuk students will be taught self defense skills. Since its inception at the Kailash Puri Math in Varanasi, other monasteries are also coming into contact. It can be said that after yoga, a new tradition of learning karate and taekwondo for self-defense in monasteries has begun, which will soon be found in every monastery.
