Varanasi: DM Sir Does Not Know That There Is A Fake Office Under His Own Office; Kanshiram’s House Used To Be Distributed

For three years in Varanasi, there have been reports of looting in the name of making a fake office under the DM office in the court premises. The Kanshiram Poor Urban Housing Scheme office was handed over to the Municipal Corporation three years ago, but for three years retired Babu Ram Vriksha along with many of his associates were running a fake office from here. When the administration got the information, Ram locked the tree and ran away.

Even now the beneficiaries are reaching here hoping for housing and are disturbed to see it locked. The situation is more sensitive as mostly poor people come here in the hope of housing. Ramvriksha along with his associates used to do this work so cleanly that even the lawyers in the court premises were not aware of it. Advocate Mithilesh Yadav’s choki (chamber) is right next to the fake office, but he too came to know about it when the media picked up the news.

Fraud was going on in the name of housing!

Advocate Mithilesh Yadav says that Kanshiram Awas used to have an office here, but it was shifted to the Municipal Corporation long ago. For a few days, the mining department worked here, but for three years, Ram Vriksh, his female companion and a few others worked here from filling forms to providing accommodation under the Kashiram Awas Yojana.

FIR will be registered against retired Babu!

Ramvriksha Babu lived there and did all the work just below the DM office so there was nothing to suspect. Who would have imagined that corruption would happen under the nose of the District Magistrate’s office? How many people Ramvriksha played with and with how much money will be known only after investigation. ADM City says that preparations are underway to file a case against Ramvriksha in this matter.
