An FIR under the section of murder was lodged at Jetpur police station on the third day after Vaishali MP Veena Devi and her MLC husband Dinesh Prasad Singh’s son Rahul Raj alias Chhotu Singh died in a road accident. In the FIR, MLC husband Dinesh Prasad Singh has said that some unknown people have committed the murder as part of a conspiracy. It is suspected that the incident was carried out with the intention of murder.
JDU MLC Dinesh Prasad Singh said that the matter should be investigated in depth. On the application of MLC Dinesh Prasad Singh, the police have registered an FIR under the section of murder against unknown persons. A five-member special team has also been constituted along with the SIT to probe this high-profile incident. SSP Rakesh Kumar himself is monitoring the case.
A 5-member team is investigating
A five-member team led by Saraiya SDOP Kumar Chandan is busy solving the mystery of the incident. So far more than 50 CCTV cameras have been searched by the special team. Police are claiming to have identified the hit vehicle. A search for the suspect pickup has been conducted.
The police examined the CCTV footage
According to the police, Rahul Raj’s bullet collided with a pickup full of chairs last Monday. After the collision, the pickup went towards Chhatri Road from Pokhara. The police got the CCTV footage of the pickup going from Saraiya towards Chhatari Road. The pickup was also visible in the CCTV installed in the umbrella. The front of the pickup looks flat. It is clear that the bullet hit the pickup itself.
The MP’s son was returning from his native village
Let us tell you that on Monday night, Rahul Raj alias Chotu Singh was returning home to Bhagwanpur by a bullet after meeting his grandmother from his native village Daudpur. In this sequence an oncoming vehicle hit his bullet hard. He died in this. The bullet was badly damaged. From the first day after the incident, MP Veena Devi’s murder was suspected as part of a conspiracy.
Police arrested the pickup driver
Considering the seriousness of the incident, the SSP also reached the spot and investigated. Police have also arrested the pickup driver. The pickup has also been recovered. The driver’s name is Mohammad Hashim. SSP Rakesh Kumar said that Rahul Raj alias Chotu Singh died in a road accident on September 23 evening. The police immediately reached the spot and admitted Rahul to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
