Wayanad Landslide: Allu Arjun Announces To Help Wayanad Landslide Victims, Donates Huge Amount


More than 334 people have lost their lives so far in the horrific devastation caused by the landslide in Kerala’s Wayanad district. Hundreds of people are missing in this tragedy, and the search is on. A sudden landslide triggered by heavy rains buried hundreds of houses under debris, causing massive loss of life and property. Relief and rescue work is going on at the scene after the accident. Meanwhile, celebrities are also coming forward to help the victims. Pushpa fame actor Allu Arjun has also announced help.

In a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), Allu Arjun expressed his deep grief over the accident and announced a donation of Rs 25 lakh to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Allu wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the recent landslide in Wayanad. Kerala has always given me a lot of love. Now I want to contribute my share by donating 25 lakh rupees to Kerala Chief Minister Relief Fund for rehabilitation work. I pray for your protection and strength.” In the post, he also tagged the X account of the Kerala Chief Minister’s Office.

Rescue work is ongoing

Relief and rescue operations have been going on continuously for the last 6 days in Mundakkai and Churmala of Wayanad. Due to the heavy rains, the relief workers have faced difficulties at times, but they continue to stand firm and search for people. Apart from the Indian Army, NDRF, people from the local emergency response department are also present at the spot with constant vigilance. It is believed that people are still buried under the rubble and destroyed buildings.

Mohanlal visited

Malayalam cinema superstar Mohanlal reached the venue yesterday. Mohanlal has got the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Territorial Army. He reached the landslide site in army uniform and also met the people there. He also understood the situation from the officials involved in the rescue operation. In a post, he appealed to people to be safe. He wrote, “In view of heavy rains and natural calamities, it is important to take every step to stay safe. Follow government orders and avoid traveling as much as possible. Please also refrain from sharing false and false news regarding this incident.” Before Allu Arjun, Mohanlal also announced a donation of Rs 3 crore to help the victims of this tragedy.

Looking forward to Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2

Currently all fans are eagerly waiting for Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2. It was earlier announced that the film would release on August 15, however, due to the shooting not being completed on time, the makers changed the release date. Now the film will hit the big screens later this year on December 6. Along with Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil will also be seen in important roles in the film. Sukumar is directing the film.
