What Has Been Found In The Kolkata Rape Case Investigation So Far? The CBI Will Inform The Supreme Court Tomorrow

Kolkata Rape Case, Supreme Court, CBI

On the orders of the Supreme Court, the CBI will submit a detailed report of the investigation conducted so far in the Kolkata rape case before the Chief Justice by Thursday. The CBI team present in Kolkata led by Additional Detective and DSP is busy preparing this report, efforts are being made to complete it by night and submit it to the Supreme Court in the morning. What has happened so far?

The CBI had continuously interrogated two people in the doctor murder-rape case in the last 6 days. The first main accused is Sanjay Roy and the second is former principal Sandeep Ghosh. The CBI went to the hospital and conducted all forensic investigations and tried to collect evidence.

Five doctors of CBI’s CFSL team conducted a psychological test of Sanjay Roy, i.e. sought to know his mental state, for which a detailed report was prepared. This test was conducted so that the investigating agency could ascertain whether the statements of accused Sanjay Roy could be believed.

Who was involved in the incident?

The CBI also investigated from this angle: Was Sanjay Roy alone involved in the crime or more than one accused? In the last 7 days, the CBI visited the hospital i.e. the crime scene several times and took samples along with the experts. Along with this, the scene was mapped and the CCTV footage of the hospital was seen showing the movement of the accused Sanjay Roy before and after the incident.

The report was prepared on the basis that several footprints were found at the crime scene as the crime scene was not secured after the murder. Apart from this, renovations had taken place nearby due to which many evidences were feared to have been destroyed.

What CBI will tell Supreme Court:-

  • How many character statements were recorded?
  • What did accused Sanjay Roy confess during interrogation?
  • What did the forensic report reveal?
  • What conclusions are reached by comparing the statement of the accused and the recreation?
  • Was Sanjay Roy alone involved in the crime or was more than one person involved?
  • The role of ex-principal Sandeep Ghosh in the investigation?
  • Where are the flaws in the Kolkata police investigation?
  • How many characters have questionable roles and why? (Like many characters including ASI Arup Dutta)

Why did Sandeep Ghosh say that the doctor committed suicide?

Why did Sandeep Ghosh rush to tell the family that his daughter had committed suicide? Was this done deliberately, so as to cover up the murder and destroy the evidence? Why did Sandeep Ghosh meet with the hospital staff before giving the information to the police?

Former principal Sandeep Ghosh immediately resigned and said why did he join? I had no intention of blaming myself. The CBI is also interrogating ex-principal Sandeep Ghosh from the angle of evidence tampering, trying to find out if he was part of a larger conspiracy.

At the same time, the CBI applied to the court for a polygraphy test of Sanjay Roy after the psychological test, which was accepted by the court, but the test can only be done with the consent of the accused, about which there is no clear information. Yet the preliminary report of the polygraphy test will also be included in the detailed investigation report before the Supreme Court or not?
