A strange theft incident has come to light in Kanpur’s Kalyanpur Police Station area in which thieves have not stolen gold and silver jewelery but a faucet from a house. The thieves also stole faucets, flushes, showers and other washroom items. The owner of the house has lodged a complaint with the police in this matter. The police are currently busy investigating this unique theft.
According to the details received from the police, Harishankar Yadav, a resident of Lakhanpur-Awadhpuri road in Kalyanpur police station area, lodged a complaint with the police and said that about a month ago, he had constructed a house at a short distance on Gt. Road. This house is in the name of his wife Kumud Yadav. Even after the housework was completed, Harishankar could not move to that house with his family. For this reason the house was deserted for the last few days.
Recently, when his son moved to his new house, he found that the locks were broken and someone had stolen from his house. The thieves did not damage anything else in the house but stole sanitary items from the washroom of his house. According to the landlord, all the sanitary items including flush, faucet, shower were branded items and cost around Rs 2.5 lakh.

When the incident of theft came to light, Harishankar reached near the house and called the people nearby and questioned him. But they did not get any information. Neighbors didn’t see anything either. He told the police that he has fully furnished the new house as he is going to move into the new house soon. Currently, the police have registered a case and are taking further action.
