Who Is The Next Congress President Of West Bengal? Leaders Came Forward Against Adhir Ranjan

With the change of president in West Bengal, the Congress is preparing to change the political line length. On Monday, organization general secretary KC Venugopal met Bengal Congress leaders collectively and then individually. Most of the leaders strongly demanded changes in the organization. He said that if the Congress has to perform well in the assembly elections, it will have to work under the ‘single variables’ strategy.

In fact, around 24 leaders spoke at KC Venugopal’s meeting on Monday. Most of the leaders were upset with the working style of former president Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary. According to him, no attention was paid to strengthening the Congress organization during Adhir Ranjan’s time.

In the meeting, Congress leaders said that state president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury continued to oppose Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee only for personal gain. If the Congress had paid attention, it could have gained the opposition seat in Bengal. This means that before opposing Mamata Banerjee, the focus should be on taking the place of the opposition by fighting the BJP.

Notably, this strategy also seems to please India’s coalition at the centre. Shankar Malakar, Isha Khan Chowdhury, DP Rai and Nepal Mahato are the frontrunners in the race for the next state president of the Congress after the meeting held on Monday. Bengal Congress leaders will also meet National President Mallikarjun Kharge today. The new president of Bengal Congress will be announced soon.
