First, let’s talk about physical gold. Gold has been performing very well in recent years. In this survey, 50 percent of people like this investment because their returns have been better.

Why digital gold is better

The special thing about digital gold has come to light in the survey conducted. That is, there is no risk of theft of this gold. 39% of the people surveyed believe that digital gold is less risky than having physical gold at home: there is no need to worry about theft. While 36% of people have invested in ‘digital gold’ because of its purity, i.e. the possibility of buying pure 24-carat gold. While 25% of people feel that there is the possibility of buying, selling and tracking the investment made by them at any time through applications that offer digital gold.

what is the damage

Digital gold has many benefits, but there are also some obstacles that prevent investors from fully trusting it. Some things have come to light in the survey conducted by Navi.

  1. 1. Uncertainty about the investment process and benefits 67% of non-users are unsure about the digital gold investment process or the benefits it provides.
  2. 2. There is no “touch and feel” facility like physical gold. Because of the ability to “touch and feel” gold purchased in jewelry, 44% preferred physical gold.
  3. 3. Other Factors Some other reasons for not investing in digital gold were lower returns compared to the stock market, fear of online fraud and GST charged on buying digital or physical gold (37% for each reason).

The results of the study conducted by Navi highlight the need to increase financial education and address common consumer concerns and questions about the benefits of digital gold. This could lead to widespread adoption of physical gold, allowing consumers to benefit from gold investment in a new and modern way.
