Owner dies after being bitten by a pet cat
A case has come to light in Shimoga, Karnataka that will make you wonder if you are a cat lover. The case is something like this. The pet cat bit its owner, causing the woman to die. Doctors have confirmed this and fear that the woman may have contracted rabies from a cat bite. The woman’s health deteriorated significantly due to which her life could not be saved.
According to information, the incident took place in Tarlaghatta of Shikaripura block of Shimoga district. Where 50-year-old Gangibai lived with her family. A cat also grew up in Gangibai’s house. This cat was previously bitten by a dog. His cat also bites his mistress and another person. After being bitten by a cat in the camp, the woman consulted a doctor. The doctor asked him to give an injection of rabies virus.
The woman received one injection, whereas as per the dosage, the woman had to take 5 consecutive injections. The condition of the woman was cured in a single injection. After which he was careless and did not get the injection. The woman was negligent in the rest of the injections and got busy in agriculture. After some time the woman’s condition started to deteriorate gradually. Seeing the condition of the woman deteriorating, the woman was immediately admitted to Megan Hospital in Shimoga.
Doctors started treating the woman but the treatment had no effect on the woman. The rabies virus had completely spread in the woman’s body. For this reason the woman could not be saved. Doctors have confirmed this after the death of the woman. It is being said that the cat was bitten by a dog before the cat bit the woman. Doctors have suspected that the cat may have contracted the rabies from a dog bite. So rabies has spread in the woman’s body.
