A social media user named Ananya Chhachariya has made serious allegations against the CEO of Jindal Steel. While posting on social media platform X, she said that she was sexually harassed while boarding a flight from Kolkata to Abu Dhabi. She has leveled this allegation against 65-year-old Dinesh Kumar Saraogi, an industrialist and CEO of Jindal Steel.

According to the information present in the user’s bio, she is the co-founder of the Indian Conference at Harvard. In her social media post, the user has written, I share an incident that happened to me on a flight from Kolkata to Abu Dhabi (in transit to Boston). She thanked the employees of Etihad Airlines and the Abu Dhabi Police for their support, cooperation and action during the incident.
Ananya said that on that day she was sitting next to a 65-year-old industrialist, who is an employee of Naveen Jindal’s Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL). Ananya Chhachariya said he would be around 65 years old and told me that he now lives in Oman but travels frequently.
After this she said that a casual conversation started between both of them. He started telling me about our birth, family etc. He said that he is from Churu in Rajasthan and has two married sons who have settled in the US. He asked me if I liked watching movies and I said yes of course. As the conversation progressed about hobbies, movies, likes and dislikes. Ananya said that a Jindal Steel official told her that he had some movie clips on his phone.
“He took out his phone and earphones to show me a porn video,” she wrote in her post on X! He started touching me. I was shocked. I was scared. Giving details of her story, she said that I eventually ran to the toilet and complained to the air crew. Fortunately, the Etihad team was very proactive and took immediate action. They made me sit in their home and served me tea and fruits.

He appealed to Jindal Steel Chairman and Deputy Chairman Naveen Jindal to take necessary steps to find out what kind of people are occupying leadership positions. In view of this matter, Jindal Group Chairman Naveen Jindal assured that action will be taken by posting on X.
She wrote that Dear Ananya, thank you for contacting us and expressing your views! What you did took a lot of courage and I want you to know that our policy in such cases is zero tolerance. I have asked the team to look into the matter immediately and then strict and necessary action will be taken.
