As the saying goes hey leave what’s in a name! There are many people with the same name and everyone has different characters, but sometimes it can happen that the same names can land you behind the bars. One such case of gross negligence has come to light from Kanpur in UP. Here, in a nearly 30-year-old case, the police arrested an accused who was not even born at the time of the incident.

The case is from Bilhaur police station in Kanpur. Here the police arrested a youth and produced him in court, that too in a 30-year-old case of molestation and assault in which the court had to give its verdict. But the police did not notice that a twenty-year-old man was arrested for a thirty-year-old incident. When the police presented the youth as an accused in the court, a controversy arose regarding the youth’s age in his Aadhaar card. The police immediately rushed to the scene. Bilhaur police picked up the youth from the court and disappeared.

This incident is from the year 1994

Indeed, the police had to arrest Danish’s son Anish, accused in the 1994 molestation and assault case. The police arrested Danish’s son Anish only, but the police mistakenly arrested Danish, a farmer from Indira Nagar, while the accused in the case, Danish, was from Kidwai Nagar. The police accused the wrong Danish in the case and told him that a case has been registered against him in which he is an accused. Danish repeatedly told the police that he was not guilty but the police did not listen to him.

The whole case was opened with Aadhaar card

After this, as the court date approaches, the Bilhaur police call him to the police station and take him into custody. After this, he is taken to Mati Main Court after medical examination, but after presenting the documents in front of the lawyer, the lawyer notices Danish’s Aadhaar card. Seeing this Aadhaar card, the lawyer becomes strict. Danish’s birth year 2002 was written in it. The investigation reveals the truth that how a person born in 2002 can become an accused in a 1994 incident. After knowing the whole matter, the police are also shocked. Danish has now been sent home.
