A ransom of Rs 1 crore has been demanded from a builder in Ranchi in the name of notorious gangster Aman Sahu, lodged in Jharkhand jail. WhatsApp messages and calls said that Rs 1 crore would be paid as ransom money within a week. The person demanding the ransom has threatened dire consequences if the money is not paid. The builder from whom ransom has been demanded is also a Congress leader. He has filed a police complaint.
Ranchi police have started an investigation into the threat and demand of extortion of one crore rupees by the Aman Sahu gang. Mayank Singh, in whose name the ransom has been demanded, currently runs the Aman Sahu gang. While Aman Sahu is in jail, Mayank Singh is said to be running a gang abroad.
‘If I use my brain more here and there, I’ll send you straight to the top’
Aman Sahu gang is a terror in Jharkhand. Aman Sahu is currently lodged in Chaibasa jail in Jharkhand. His brother-in-law Mayank Singh is handling the gang network while sitting abroad. He asked the builder for money through WhatsApp. In the message sent to the builder Ishwar Anand, it is written, ‘You people have earned a lot of money by building apartments. Now don’t do too much drama. Prepare a crore rupees for the gang in a week and make a phone call and if you use your brain too much I will send you straight to the top. After this message, the builder lost his sleep. He is living in an atmosphere of fear.
There are more than 50 cases against Aman Sahu
More than 50 cases have been registered against jailed notorious gangster Aman Sahu. Recently, NIA raided several locations linked to gangster Aman Sahu in the terror funding case. Aman Sahu is currently lodged in Chaibasa Jail in Jharkhand. But its terror is in many states including Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh.
The Aman Sahu gang dominates Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi as well as Hazaribagh, Chatra, Latehar, Ramgarh, Palamu and other districts of the state where coal is abundant. His gang is involved in extorting money from contractors, land dealers and builders working in the coal sector.
Threatened to shoot Jail Superintendent
When gangster Aman Sahu was lodged in Jharkhand’s Giridih Jail, criminals associated with his gang threatened to shoot Giridih Jail Superintendent Himani Priya if Aman Sahu was not given the desired facilities in the jail. After this he was shifted from Giridih to Chaibasa prison.
Now Ranchi police has become active after notorious gangster Aman Sahu sent a message and call to Ishwar Anand, a reputed builder of the capital Ranchi and leader of the Congress Party, demanding a ransom of Rs 1 crore and threatened severe consequences if he does not allow it. A ransom has to be paid. An investigation is being conducted on the basis of the FIR registered in this matter.
