However, the audience did not like this show much. Now this show is closing in just one month. This might be a shocking news for Zakir fans. His fans had high expectations from the show, but the show did not live up to the expectations.
If reports are to be believed, the makers were shocked to see the TRP of the show ‘Aapka Apna Zakir’. The channel has taken this decision due to poor TRP. Now Zakir’s show could not entertain the audience. Zakir Khan’s show could not get as much love as people gave to Kapil Sharma’s show. The second week rating of ‘Aapka Apna Zakir’ is said to be the lowest. The makers have told Zakir that the show is coming to a close.

According to reports, only 6 episodes of the show have been shot. It is not yet clear whether more episodes of the show will be released or not. When it comes to its creative aspects, the show featured only big stars and the fans didn’t find anything interesting, hence its ratings were said to be low. Fans have completely rejected this show of Zakir Khan.
This was not my idea
Zakir opened up about the show in an interview given to Mid-Day before the show went off the air. He said, “This name was not my idea. I wanted something else. I was with my team when the team took this name. The team told me it was a good name, but I disagreed. I gave the team options, but they insisted that ‘your own Zakir’ was best. I felt that if I fight for it, then I might lose something. That’s why I agree to this name.”

Regarding the conversation with the channel, he said, “It was not a big conversation. He is quite good. They gave me a huge space, which I did not expect. Everything went well. Whenever we didn’t like something and asked for a change, they agreed immediately.

It is also being said that this decision to stop the show will not be changed. This was being considered for the last few days. The channel and OML production house have received information about this. The show featured actors like Karan Johar, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, John Abraham, Sharwari Wala, Vikrant Massey, Taapsee Pannu.
